Out of an abundance of caution due to residual icy conditions on campus and surrounding areas, 91²Ö¿â will remain closed one more day — Wednesday, Jan. 28. All classes are cancelled.
Closure affects:
The Met, Swoop N’ Go and Subway will continue to serve main campus residential students. The student health clinic will be open regular hours.
91²Ö¿â faculty and staff who are not considered essential employees and Health Science Center non-essential academic employees should continue remote work operations as they are able. Essential campus services include University Police, Dining Services, Facilities Management and University Housing.
Clinical employees will continue to follow UT Health East Texas clinical operations. Houston Engineering Center will follow Houston City College operations.
Barring any unforeseen developments, plans are to resume normal operations Thursday, Jan. 29. Please continue to monitor the university website and social media channels.
Due to road conditions that are not expected to significantly improve, 91²Ö¿â will remain closed on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Residence Life and Student Engagement will continue to provide support for main campus residential students. The Met will offer brunch and dinner service, and Swoop N’ Go and Subway will be open. Residence Life will have canned goods and pre-packaged foods available at the residential clubhouses. Please contact Resident or Housing Assistants with questions.

Due to current road conditions, 91²Ö¿â will be closed Monday, Jan. 26, to help ensure the safety of our students and employees. The closure will affect the main campus, Longview University Center, Palestine Campus, Health Science Center non-essential academic employees and all University Academy campuses. All classes, including online, are cancelled.
The Muntz Library, campus bookstore and student health clinic are also closed.

University officials continue to monitor the weather development this weekend and are preparing to communicate any operational updates regarding Monday, Jan. 26, no later than 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25.
Operational updates will include the main campus, Longview University Center, Palestine Campus and the Health Science Center non-essential academic employees, as well as all University Academy campuses.
