The University of Texas at Tyler is a centerpiece for learning, culture and natural beauty in East Texas, located midway between Dallas and Shreveport, Louisiana. Founded in 1971, 91²Ö¿â is one of the fastest-growing universities in the renowned University of Texas System. 

With a mission to improve educational and health care outcomes for East Texas and beyond, 91²Ö¿â offers more than 90 undergraduate and graduate programs to over 10,500 students. Through its alignment with 91²Ö¿â Health Science Center and UT Health East Texas, 91²Ö¿â has unified these entities to serve Texas with quality education, cutting-edge research and excellent patient care. Classified by Carnegie as a doctoral research institution and by U.S. News & World Report as a national university, UT Tyler has campuses in Tyler, Longview, Palestine and Houston.

91²Ö¿â is home to five academic colleges and three schools:

Main Campus

  • Tyler Main Campus: More than 260 acres nestled in the beautiful pine and oak forests of East Texas. Key facilities include the Herrington Patriot Center, our state-of-the-art fitness center with gymnasium that seats 2,000, and the R. Don Cowan Performing Arts Center that is a cultural attraction for the entire region.

Ornelas Hall: double- and triple-occupancy suites.

Patriot Village Apartments: four bedroom/two bath; two bedroom/one bath.

University Pines Apartments: one or two bedroom/one bath; four bedroom/two bath.
